Four UB faculty researchers will serve as key members of a new initiative to secure the U.S. Department of Defense’s most critical artificial intelligence models, while also accelerating the technology’s commercialization in the private sector.
Last fall, Nathalia Andrade applied for and was awarded a $5,000 seed grant from the UB Office of Curriculum, Assessment and Teaching Transformation to create a new course weaving AI into periodontics.

To capture a broader sweep of adolescent life, Julie Bowker will use a novel approach to study influential adolescent experiences by collecting data from a diverse sample at various times and locations.
