Kamla Persaud

Kamla Persaud is a Ph.D. student in English at the University at Buffalo. She completed her B.A. in English and Psychology at the University of Toronto and her M.A. in English and World Literature at York University. As part of her World Literature training, she wrote a thesis entitled "A Land of Mine Own: The Anti-Imperial Imperialist Vision of Joseph Conrad’s Nostromo." In addition to becoming an educator, writer, and academic, she hopes to one day become a registered psychoanalyst. She is always ready to talk about the inadequacies of modern psychology in favor of the boundless possibilities for psychoanalysis.
