Ariana Nadia Nash is a poet and a PhD student in the Poetics Program. Her primary research examines the long history of realism in American poetry. Her first collection of poetry, Instructions for Preparing Your Skin, won the 2011 Philip Levine Prize for Poetry. She has an MFA from UNC Wilmington and an MA from University of Chicago and previously taught at both institutions.
