Alana Murphy

Alana Murphy is an English PhD student at the University at Buffalo. She completed her BA in English and Philosophy from Boston College. She earned her MA in English from Fordham University with a thesis titled “The Impersonal Voices of Muriel Rukeyser’s Easter Eve 1945 Poems.” Alana served as the Digital Managing Editor for Modernism/modernity from 2022 to 2023 and is a transcriber for the NEH-funded Amy Lowell Letters Project. Her primary research interest is critically neglected modernist women writers, with an emphasis on their correspondence and unfinished/unpublished work. She is a member of the International T. S. Eliot Society and the current secretary of the UB English Graduate Student Association.
