Bianca Messinger is a PhD Candidate and TA in the English Department at SUNY-University at Buffalo. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and a BA with high honors in Comparative Literature from New York University. She is a member of the editorial collective for Penumbr(a) and the How(ever) How2 Digital Archive project, hosted by the Poetics Program. Her chapbook "parallel bars" was selected by Simone White for the 2021 Center for Book Arts Chapbook Prize and her first full length book of poetry pleasureis amiracle, was recently published by Nightboat Books. She is currently working on a translation of a novel by Argentine artist/writer Fernanda Laguna with poet and translator Alexis Almeida.
