Bio:

Thembi Duncan is a director, actor, teaching artist, playwright, and arts administrator whose experience in theatre and arts engagement spans over 20 years. She's participated in projects in the Washington, D.C. area with Ford's Theatre, Young Playwrights' Theater, The Kennedy Center, African-American Collective Theater, The Anacostia Playhouse, Brave Soul Collective, African Continuum Theatre Company, Shakespeare's Sistah, Arena Stage, Round House Theatre, Studio Theatre, Imagination Stage, Adventure Theatre MTC, Theatre Alliance, and many others. Favorite productions include WTF Happened to Baby Sister?!, Br'er Cotton, My Vessel, Disgraced, Yellowman, Crumbs From the Table of Joy, Much Ado About Nothing, From the Mississippi Delta, Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters, Love and Anger, and Jitney. Thembi holds a B.A. in Theatre (summa cum laude) from the University of Maryland (Go Terps!) and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Instructional Design and Educational Technology at SUNY Potsdam.
