We are steadfast in our belief that Black Lives Matter.

Dear Jacobs School Community,
Recent national events, specifically the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin and the fatal shooting of Trayford Pellerin in Louisiana, give us pause and require us to reflect.
Social inequality for any member of our society is social injustice for all.
Therefore, we must not normalize or become desensitized to acts of violence by law enforcement, or others, on black and brown communities. We must be steadfast in our belief that Black Lives Matter.
This is our affirmation that the Jacobs School recognizes the burden on black and brown communities. We also appreciate law enforcement officers who perform their duties honorably.
Racism is a public health issue and the Jacobs School will continue to strive to be an agent of change and in creating an anti-racist environment/community.
