Event Co-Sponsorship

Published March 4, 2025

The Baldy Center provides modest co-sponsorship support for events sponsored by other units of the University. Co-sponsorship decisions are made at the discretion of The Baldy Center's director and associate director.

Co-sponsorship requests should be made the semester before an event takes place, and are dependent on:

  • Relevance to The Baldy Center's mission to advance interdisciplinary research on law, legal institutions, and social policy.
  • Amount of support requested.

Depending on the nature of the event, availability of space, timing of the request, funding obligations, and the funding commitment from other units, the Center's co-sponsorships may include:

  • Use of the conference or seminar room space(s).
  • Promotion of the event.
  • And/or financial sponsorship of a meal or reception.

General notes about requesting co-sponsorship:

  • Events cannot conflict with other Center-sponsored activities, workshops, conferences, or talks.
  • A use of space form provided by Center staff must be completed if reserving the conference room.
  • Honoraria are not supported.
  • Center staff will not provide support in organizing a co-sponsored event.
