New navigation menu coming to UB Learns on May 20

Published May 8, 2020

Beginning May 20, UB Learns will feature a new navigation menu and visual updates for a faster, easier experience for instructors and students.

This update, called Ultra Base Navigation, allows instructors to see a global view of grading tasks, due dates and other relevant information from across all their courses.

All existing course information and features will still be available, and UB Learns courses will still look and function the same way. Users can continue to log into UB Learns at ublearns.buffalo.edu using their UBITName, password and two-step verification.

A preview of Ultra Base Navigation and more information is available on the UBIT website.

The UB Learns support team is also hosting several information sessions via Zoom for UB instructors, as well as TAs and GAs. Sign up online for an information session on the UBIT website.

Ultra Base Navigation is part of the latest Blackboard user interface, called Blackboard Ultra Experience, which offers more intuitive interactions and a modern, responsive design.

Ultra Courses are the second phase of the Blackboard Ultra Experience. More information will be available on Ultra Courses later in 2020.

Users who need help with UB Learns can find UB Learns resources for instructors on the UBIT website or contact the UB Learns support team.
