TCIE's Offshore Wind Projects

UB TCIE received two grants to fund our projects from the Offshore Wind Training Institute. Below are the descriptions of the two projects

Current Projects:

Project 1: Leveraging the Power of SUNY to Achieve NY's Offshore Wind Energy Goals

Interested in career opportunities in Offshore Wind?

Embark on a journey towards a rewarding career in offshore wind through our initiative aimed at achieving New York's ambitious energy goals. This project focuses on elevating awareness about offshore wind career opportunities among New Yorkers by leveraging existing resources and networks. Attend a Lunch and Learn event and engage with industry leaders to hear valuable insights and gain a deeper understanding of the exciting prospects within the offshore wind sector or enroll in our comprehensive online course designed to provide a thorough understanding of foundational concepts across various renewable energy sectors. This course, offered freely to a limited number of select New Yorkers, culminates in a practical project guiding learners towards their ideal occupation in the clean energy sector. Beginning in 2024, project leaders will host Lunch and Learn events across Western New York. These events will serve as platforms for interaction with industry representatives and offer valuable insights into SUNY's distinguished renewable energy education programs.
