A growing number of youth‑serving organizations—including after‑school programs, community centers, summer camps, and school‑based initiatives—need responsible, well‑trained adults to support and supervise children. Many new staff enter these roles with little or no preparation because programs must meet staffing ratios. The Youth Development & Childcare Support Training Program is designed to address this need by preparing individuals for entry‑level positions in the youth development field.
Through a partnership with Peaceful Schools, a leader in Social‑Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum and training, students receive comprehensive instruction that builds confidence, professionalism, and readiness to work with children and youth in a variety of settings.
