Michael McKee Green is a first-year doctoral student in English at SUNY Buffalo. His scholarly work focuses primarily on long and hybrid poetries, with an emphasis on texts that skirt boundaries of language and culture. Green is also a poet who writes in long-form. His first book, Fugue Figure (the Kent State University Press 2018), won the Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Prize. Green received his MFA from Boise State University, where he sat on Ahsahta Press’ editorial board and taught creative writing. For undergraduate, he attended the Urban Honors College at Portland State University, where he won their Academy of American Poets’ prize and taught in University Studies as a peer-mentor.
