A multi-year project to dramatically improve Wi-Fi on UB’s three campuses is now complete, and students, faculty and staff should notice better speed and coverage.

Because of the severe weather forecast for Jan. 5, the gravesite commemoration celebrating the 218th anniversary of the birth of Millard Fillmore, UB’s first chancellor and 13th president of the United States, scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, will be shortened to a brief wreath presentation ceremony outdoors, featuring representatives from the White House, Fillmore legacy organizations and Forest Lawn.

The UB Women’s Club will hold its annual dinner and wine pairing to raise money for student scholarships on Feb. 2 at the Fairdale Banquet Center, 672 Wehrle Drive, Amherst.

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has formed new collaborative 2+4 agreements with eight SUNY community colleges to provide students with the opportunity to earn a doctor of pharmacy degree in a shorter amount of time.

The Professional Staff Senate’s Inclusion & Diversity Committee will hold its annual End-of-the-Semester Potluck Extravaganza from noon to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 20 in 107 Capen Hall, North Campus.
