The Office of Inclusive Excellence’s “Year of Yoga for Every Body” series continues next week with a workshop focused on the “good mind” and a screening of a film that follows three people whose lives were transformed by yoga.

“Traditional Teachings of the Good Mind,” a workshop led by Michael Martin, a member of the Onondaga Beaver Clan, will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Landmark Room, 210 Student Union, North Campus.

The session will explore the relationships of our minds to thoughts, behaviors and well-being.

Later in the week, OIX will present a screening of the documentary “Standing | Still Standing,” which looks at the experiences of three people with medical conditions and disabilities who learn yoga from Matthew Sanford, a paraplegic yoga instructor.

The screening will take place from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 17 in 403 Hayes Hall, South Campus. Following the screening, Sanford will join the moderated discussion virtually. Light refreshments will be provided.

Both events are free and open to the public.
