• The role of fire

    Shortly before the Thanksgiving break, University Communications photographer Meredith Forrest Kulwicki joined Jason Corwin's IDS 104: Introduction to Land-Based Learning class in the Letchworth Teaching Forest on the North Campus. When developing the course, Corwin consulted with the Department of Environment and Sustainability, the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office and University Police to ensure course activities met all safety, liability and insurance requirements.

Spotlight Symposia Series

The College of Arts and Sciences' 2026 Spotlight Symposia Series will celebrate the groundbreaking contributions of UB faculty member Soo-Kyung Lee, director of the FOXG1 Research Center and a leading expert on genetics and brain development. The symposium, "Master Switches of the Mind: Gene Regulation and Neurodevelopmental Disorders," will bring together leading experts in the field for a two-day event that features a keynote, technical talks and a poster session.
