Pie sale to benefit employees’ campaign

Published October 28, 2025

Pumpkin pie.

Would Thanksgiving be Thanksgiving without pie? We think not.

But who has the time to spend a day in the kitchen?

The bakers at Campus Dining & Shops do, and they’re happy to bake some delicious pies for UB employees to serve at their holiday dinners.

Proceeds from the sale benefit UB’s Employees Campaign for the Community.

Pies will be baked on campus and available for pickup on Nov. 25 at the Capen Café on the North Campus, Harriman Café on the South Campus or the Corner Café in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences on the Downtown Campus. Choose from classic pumpkin, Dutch apple or peanut butter ganache.

And new to the sale this year: donate a pie to the Salvation Army, Hearts for the Homeless or FeedMore WNY. Campus Dining and Shops will choose the flavor, bake and deliver the pie.

Pies are $16 each, with $7 from each pie sold benefitting the campaign. Orders should be placed online by Nov. 21.

Last year, members of the UB community ordered a record 322 pies, with $2,254 going to the campaign.
