Transfer Course Articulations

UB accepts all credit-bearing courses from regionally accredited two- or four-year degree-granting institutions. You can check if your courses have been matched to UB's courses and requirements at TAURUS, our transfer articulation website.

Transfer work, including the SUNY GETA (General Education Transcript Addendum), may be applied toward the relevant UB Curriculum requirement(s). Transfer students will complete the UB Seminar and the UB Curriculum Capstone at UB. All other UB Curriculum requirements may be satisfied with transfer coursework.

UB Seminar

Small in size and centered around critical thinking, ethical reasoning and reflective discussion, you learn from distinguished faculty how to meet and manage the rigorous academic demands of our world-class university.

This course is unique to UB, therefore no articulations exist.

Foundations

The building blocks of academic inquiry and life-long learning. Holistic learning through courses in diversity, writing, math and science prepare you for a world in which these skills are the foundation for success, regardless of which path you’re on.

*Students are required to take at least one three-credit course focusing on domestic diversity. An approved course can be taken anywhere in the program and may also satisfy the other aspects of the program (e.g., UB Seminar or Pathway course).

Pathways

A series of courses linked together by a broad topic that you choose and examine through multiple perspectives. You will develop a deep knowledge base in a chosen topic and learn how different disciplines approach a similar line of study.

Capstone

The culmination of your UB Curriculum program, a holistic reflection of your learning experiences. You develop the skills to integrate, apply and synthesize knowledge. Our integrative approach to learning encourages you to connect concepts across a broad range of disciplines and experiences, bringing it all together – with purpose.

This course is unique to UB, therefore no articulations exist.
