SENS hosts various web servers for research, instruction, and personal web pages.
Research groups and centers can request space where they can maintain their own servers, with domain names to match. Please contact SENShelp and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
We can host software such as WordPress and MediaWiki to make maintaining your site easier, or you can work directly with the files using the techniques described in our personal website page.
All students, faculty, and staff with a SENS account can create a personal website and use some, most, or all of their home directory quota allocation for web pages and related information. They may choose to use this space for a variety of purposes: Some folks may want to showcase their hobbies or their families, students can use their personal web space for sites as diverse as a resume or portfolio to show potential employers their work, and faculty and staff may choose to use their personal site to demonstrate their research and provide instructional materials.
For more information about maintaining your personal web page and adding nifty features to it, please read our pages on Basic Web Features and Advanced Web Features.
