6v6 Volleyball Tournament

Each match will consist of up to three sets or 15 minutes total match time, whichever comes first.

• Set 1: First to 10 points
• Set 2: First to 10 points
• Set 3 (if needed): First to 7 points

If the third set is tied when time expires, the total cumulative score across all three sets will determine the winner.

• Standard UB Intramural Sports volleyball rules apply unless otherwise noted.
• Teams are guaranteed at least two matches due to double-elimination format.
• Matches will begin as soon as courts become available following the previous match.

Important Team Check-In Policy

It is highly suggested that teams remain in the Triple Gym throughout the duration of the tournament until:

1. They have lost their second match, or
2. They have completed all scheduled matches for that day.

Because games may begin earlier than originally projected, teams must be prepared to play when called.

• If your team is called and not present, your team will forfeit that match.

Team Name Policy

Intramural Sports reserves the right to review and change all team names. Any team name deemed inappropriate, offensive, or not aligned with the values of our campus community may be changed at the discretion of the Intramural Sports Director or Intramural staff. Teams may be asked to submit an alternative name if their original choice is not acceptable.

What to Bring

• Valid UB Student ID for all participants
• Athletic clothing and non-marking court shoes
• Team members ready to check in before first scheduled match
