How long have you worked at UB?

I’ve been at UB since August 2016.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Seeing our students grow and develop as people over time certainly is the most rewarding part.

What’s the most difficult part about your job?

Managing all the moving parts during the time when our students are applying to professional health schools. It’s like working on a 1,000 piece puzzle.

What would you say is your biggest achievement at UB?

Being part of the Prehealth Advising team and doing what we do to provide services to so many.

Tell us something about your department that isn’t well known.

Our department works with students who are undecided on a major but also students that want to go to law, medical, dental, and PA school!

If you were to share some advice for other professional staff, what would it be?

Build your network here at UB and take the time to do so. It’s a lot of work but the payoff is fantastic!

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do for fun?

Someone will text me and tell me this is a bad answer but I work my other jobs for fun. I work in television and radio and that’s so enjoyable to me. I also play violin around the region in professional groups! And I’ll listen to podcasts when I’m not doing any of that.

Do you have a favorite meal you like to prepare?

Preparing and working on any of the recipes my father used to make.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I’d go to Switzerland, the colder the better.

Any other fun facts about you?

I’ve played in orchestras backing up The Who and Weird Al Yankovic!
