Hotel Henry Urban Resort Conference Center has recently opened within the newly rehabilitated Richardson Olmsted Campus, widely considered to be one of Buffalo’s most important and beautiful buildings. Originally the Buffalo Asylum for the Insane, the campus is taking on new life with Hotel Henry, the first phase of the redevelopment of the buildings, transforming the once crumbling H.H. Richardson masterpiece into an innovative conference facility, community hub and contemporary independent concept hotel.

This year’s conference theme, “Building You: Even Better,” is about building your skills and knowledge to be even more effective in your current role or to prepare you for your next professional role.

"Strategies for Building a Successful Career"

Don’t miss Rick’s inspiring story and lessons he learned as he went from a cleaner and custodian in Buffalo Public Schools to the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, Kenmore-Tonawanda Union Free School District. He then became a project manager at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base and ultimately retired in 2016 a project manager at Rand & Jones General Construction Firm. Rick advanced himself throughout his career, not by relying on formal education, personal connections or automatic promotions, but on five key principles to make the changes he desired. Come learn Rick’s philosophy about getting ahead in today’s job market.
