Department Chair Dossier Preparation Sessions

Preparing a dossier for the 2026–27 cycle can feel complex, but our office is here to support you.

The Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs is hosting a series of Department Chair Dossier Preparation Sessions designed to support chairs as they begin this important process. These sessions are designed to:

  • Clarify expectations for dossier preparation
  • Understand required components and common challenges
  • Answer your critical questions before submission timelines approach
  • Strengthen your approach with informed guidance

Early preparation makes a difference. These sessions are an opportunity to get ahead and avoid last-minute uncertainty.

Session options

To make attendance as convenient as possible, we are offering three sessions across UB’s campuses:

North Campus: Thursday, April 23 | 2-3:30 p.m. | 107 Capen Hall

South Campus: Monday, April 27 | 9-10:30 a.m. | 403 Hayes Hall

Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences: Thursday, May 21 | 6-7 p.m. | 6201 Levy Conference Room (JSMBS Clinical Chairs Only)

The JSMBS session is designed specifically for chairs of clinical departments in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and will be held as part of the May Clinical Chairs Meeting.

Clinical chairs are welcome to attend any of the three sessions.
