BUFFALO, N.Y. — News media are invited to join University at Buffalo officials Thursday on the North Campus as they reveal, in countdown fashion, the inaugural class of Fast 46 and 3 Under 3 businesses owned or led by alumni or former students around the world.

The Fast 46 competition, named in honor of UB’s founding in 1846, will recognize and celebrate the success of 46 of the fastest-growing businesses and three startups as determined by the official verification firm, The Bonadio Group.

The finalists, which include 20 companies from the Western New York area, will learn where they place among the others during the ceremony. An alphabetical list of finalists may be found at the following link: buffalo.edu/alumni/get-involved/fast46.html.

When: 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30. Note, the in-person ceremony is sold out, but media are invited to attend in-person. For those who cannot attend in-person, the event will be live streamed. The following link provides registration info: buffalo.edu/alumni/get-involved/fast46.html

Where: UB Center for the Arts’ Screening Room on North Campus.

Who: President Satish K. Tripathi, Rodney M. Grabowski, vice president for University Advancement, and owners or leaders of Fast 46 and 3 Under 3 finalists.
