5 Named To Blue And White Club’s Board Of Directors

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Five new members have joined the board of directors of UB's Blue and White Club for three-year terms beginning July 1, 1999.

The Blue and White Club holds annual fund-raising campaigns to provide scholarships for UB student-athletes. It also engages in activities to enhance the visibility and reputation of the university's Division of Athletics.

The new members are: Frank Berrafato, B.S., '83, of East Amherst, owner of Mississippi Mudds, Berrafato's Char-pit, and Antique World; Richard Friend, B.S., '68, of Williamsville, supervisory compliance officer for the National Labor Relations Board; Steve Ulmer, of Getzville, co-owner of Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Co.; George Voskerchian, of Amherst, Western New York district representative for the Griffin Pipe Products Corp. and past president of the UB Alumni Association, and Marshall Wood, of Williamsville, director of regional medical sales and marketing at Vital Systems, Inc.

Outgoing members of the 28-member board are: André B. Cook, partner with Smith, Cook and Associates, Inc.; Mark Maier, administrative assistant for football operations at UB; Michael McGorry, a lawyer with Silverbert, Yood, Sellers, and McGorry, and John Stofa, employed with Medical Mutual of Ohio.
