Western New York BloodCare has awarded the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences a second grant aimed at addressing a shortage of physicians in the region who specialize in treating non-malignant blood disorders.
The award is given annually to individuals who demonstrate leadership in advancement programs, furtherance of the philanthropic tradition, and public articulation of needs, goals, and issues in education.
Moog’s gift supports the creation of a three-year appointment of a highly regarded faculty member who demonstrates a strong track record of research, teaching and industry collaboration in areas of mutual interest to Moog and UB.
