A new $1 million gift from philanthropist Janet H. Sung, MD, to the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is honoring the memory of her late husband, John J. Sung, and continuing the couple’s long commitment to supporting future physicians.

Agreement will result in new names for UB Stadium and Alumni Arena while providing financial support for Bulls student-athletes and the broader UB student population.

Stefko will shape grantmaking decisions, develop leadership skills and drive meaningful community impact.

The Capen Award was presented jointly to Gregory Bauer, BS ’82, and Joanne Bauer, BS ’82.

Thanks to the generosity of loyal alumni and donors, more than $1.1 billion was committed in support of students, faculty and the world.
