Stephen Dunnett, UB vice provost for international education, will update members of the media on President Trump’s executive order of Jan. 27 that temporarily suspends entry to the U.S. by citizens of seven countries on the order’s impact on UB and the university’s response.
The University at Buffalo is assessing the executive order and is actively monitoring the order’s potential impact on UB students, faculty, staff and visiting scholars who are from countries cited in the order.
Responsible and level-headed Americans must develop “digital literacy skills” to sort through the flood of “biased or false misinformation” in today’s information age.
UB is offering local schools and not-for-profit organizations free tickets to the 41st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration event, featuring former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, to be held at 8 p.m. on Feb. 16, in Alumni Arena.
