Periodontal disease among underserved populations, community health, behavioral health and access and accessibility to dental services for disadvantaged individuals

Oliveira is a periodontist and community dental health researcher who focuses on disparities of care for people from traditionally underserved communities. She participates in dental outreach efforts with students and faculty at UB to provide free dental services to low-income Buffalo residents.

She can speak to the media about the need for regular dental care for disadvantage individuals, especially adolescents.
