Jessica Kruger is an expert on the public health impacts of addictive behaviors, such as binge-watching.
One of Kruger’s studies found a correlation between binge-watching and higher rates of stress, anxiety and depression. She was an invited guest on the National Public Radio program “On Point” for a segment on binge-watching Netflix.
Kruger can also speak to the media about behaviors associated with substance use and abuse, including the “munchies” and “drunchies” — the desire to eat unhealthy foods after heavy use of marijuana or a night of drinking, respectively.
In her research, she has also surveyed users of the cannabis compounds delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and THC-O-acetate.
