Digital identity, digital media literacy
Cynthia Tysick can address questions from the news media about digital identity, the collection of personalized data that enables automated access to digital services, confirms one's identity on the internet, and permits digital systems to manage interactions between different parties.
She is also an expert in digital media literacy, with a particular interest on students who are transitioning from high school to higher education.
Tysick is an affiliate member of the UB Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and the UB Center for Information Integrity. She is the author of “Digital Identity in the Age of Big Tech and Digital Literacy: An Exploratory Workbook.”
