Charlotte Hsu joined UB in 2009. Before that, she wrote for newspapers in Las Vegas, San Bernardino, Seattle, Newark (New Jersey) and Allentown (Pennsylvania). She has lived in all those places, along with Massachusetts, California’s Bay Area, Taipei, Los Angeles and Madrid — mostly the result of an itinerant childhood. She holds a BA in political science from UCLA.
Outside of work, Charlotte hangs out with her two small kids. She enjoys growing cucumbers and volunteers for the Tool Library, a nonprofit founded by a UB grad. The Rust Belt is home now, but she still misses the desert and the American West.
