Elections and Appointments

In accordance with Association bylaws, executive board positions are filled through a process of elections and appointments each spring.

Some board positions are elected, filled through an election open to active FSA members. Other board positions are appointed, filled by presidential appointment with the advice and approval of a simple majority of the executive board.

Open Positions

Updated as of 3/22/24

Positions are outlined in Article V of the Association bylaws.

Elected Positions

Terms begin on June 1, 2024.

  • Member at Large (3 positions available, 1 year term)

Nominations

Interested candidates must express intent using the self nomination form. As part of the form, candidates will be asked to answer questions regarding their interest and experience:

  • Why are you interested in this position?
  • What experiences do you have that may be relevant to this position?
  • How would you plan to be successful in this position?

Responses to these questions will be considered the candidate statement. Candidate statements for those seeking an elected position will be made available to active FSA members and statements for those seeking an appointed position will be made available to FSA leadership.

Active members may recommend another member for a position using the recommendation form. After a recommendation form is submitted, the recommended member will be contacted so that they can consider self nomination.
