As an academic advisor, Ms. Washburn meets with students to discuss academic plans, review Honors experiences and provide campus resources.
I am a first-generation college student who started my academic journey as a mathematics adolescent education major before spending time as an undecided student and ultimately completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a double minor in communication and visual arts and new media. I then went on to Binghamton University to complete my master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration.
My hope is to help others find their sense of belonging. I love learning new things and using that curiosity to continue growing my knowledge of Buffalo. I have a strong passion for supporting students holistically and being the best resource possible as they navigate their own college journeys.
Outside of my work with the Honors College, I am an avid reader and can often be found scrambling to finish my monthly book club read, embroidering, or challenging myself with a new craft. In warmer weather, I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible and walking my dog, kayaking, having picnics, or riding my bike.
