Nicole Condon-Shih

Nicole Condon-Shih is an interdisciplinary artist whose immersive installations investigate biological and environmental systems across scales, from the microscopic to the cosmic. Grounded in field research and scientific inquiry, her recent work focuses on lichen, its symbiotic relationships, and its remarkable capacity to adapt to extreme conditions. Her work has been exhibited at the Venice Arsenale, Cleveland Museum of Art’s Transformer Station, and Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism & Architecture in Hong Kong. She is a professor and division chair at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
