Troy D. Woodard, section head of rhinology, sinus and skull base surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, has been appointed chair of the Department of Otolaryngology in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and president and chief executive officer of UB Otolaryngology. The appointment is effective Feb. 1.

Faculty, staff and students interested in a proposed Northtown bikeway extension that would run through portions of the UB North Campus are invited to attend a public workshop hosted by the Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council from 6-7 p.m. Dec. 9 at the DFK Pavilion, 1200 Parker Blvd., Tonawanda.

The Landing at Ellicott, the redesigned Fargo Quad in the Ellicott Complex, was recognized for Outstanding Design in the postsecondary schools category of American School & University’s 2025 Architectural Portfolio.

While obtaining her doctorate of education at the Graduate School of Education, Hannah Bogdan, EdD ’23, responded to a child’s imaginative idea —  and it since has morphed into a nonprofit organization called the Buffalo Toy Library.
