CCR Launches “Camp CCR” Summer Workshop Series to Boost Research Computing Skills
The Center for Computational Research is kicking off summer with a new lineup of short, actionable workshops designed to help UB researchers (and members of their research groups) sharpen their skills in high‑performance and research computing. Branded as Camp CCR: Summer Workshop Series, the program brings a fun, summer‑camp twist to practical training on CCR’s most‑used tools and services.
Running throughout the summer, the series features focused sessions on topics such as Using Jupyter, GPU Tips & Tricks, job monitoring, and what’s new in Open OnDemand 4.0, along with a quick orientation for new users exploring CCR’s HPC systems and on‑premise research cloud. Each workshop is designed to be approachable, bite‑sized, and immediately useful - whether attendees are new to CCR or looking to level up their workflows.
With a mix of expert guidance, real examples, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions, Camp CCR offers a relaxed way to build confidence and learn best practices for working in UB’s research computing environment. All skill levels are welcome.
