A college education is an investment. When you compare the cost of a UB education to national averages, the value is clear. UB offers world-class opportunities with tuition and fees that remain among the most competitive in the nation. Financial support comes from many sources, including university scholarships, College of Arts and Sciences awards and department-specific prizes.
Every year, several awards are made available to undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences, including awards specifically designated for graduates of Buffalo Public High Schools.
There are thousands of university, national and international-level awards available to fund your undergraduate education. The Office of Fellowships and Scholarships will help you find an opportunity that fits you.
At UB, we believe exceptional effort deserves exceptional recognition. Our undergraduate merit scholarships are designed to support high-achieving students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential and creative or professional talent.
The Honors College offers three distinct scholarship awards: Presidential Scholarships and the Millonzi Distinguished Honors Scholarship. In addition, Honors students may be eligible for the Provost Scholarship, awarded by the Office of Admissions.
The University at Buffalo offers scholarships in varying amounts to qualified incoming international first-year/first-time students. Scholarship awards vary and are renewable with good academic standing. The Flagship Scholarship may be combined with other UB scholarships.
Fellowships and scholarships are among the most valuable forms of aid you can receive and are designed to support students who have exceptional academic records and potential.
Experience shows that students and families who take the time to understand their options benefit by receiving the maximum amount of eligible aid. The UB Financial Aid team is ready and willing to provide assistance as you navigate this process.
The Office of Student Accounts provides up-to-date information on tuition and fees by semester. You can also receive walk-in assistance Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Student Response Center, 1 Capen, North Campus.
