EDI launches new training program

The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) has launched a new, online, employee training program on sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other forms of abusive conduct.

The program, created by CampusClarity by EverFi, also addresses new federal legal requirements by including information about sexual violence on college campuses.

Two versions of the course are available: one for employees and one for individuals who have supervisory responsibilities.  More information is available here.

State, RF, UBF staff and faculty — excluding adjuncts — should use UB EDGE to take the course. Student employees, including TA/GAs, adjuncts, Practice Plan employees, medical residents/fellows and individuals on volunteer appointments should take the course using UBlearns.

The training may be completed in more than one sitting; the software allows users to restart wherever they leave off.

For more information on the training program, visit the Training Section and Frequently Asked Questions on EDI's website Those with questions or concerns about the course can email EDI at diversity@buffalo.edu or call staff at (716) 645-2266 for additional assistance.

UB is committed to ensuring that faculty, staff and students work and learn in an environment that is free from discrimination and unlawful harassment. UB’s Discrimination and Harassment Policy provides a procedure through which any member of the UB community can report discrimination and harassment. Those who believe they are experiencing discrimination or harassment can contact EDI for a confidential consultation.

More information about the reporting process, including the rights and protections of parties to an EDI investigation, is available on EDI’s website.
