Diefendorf Hall
Charles Haas Diefendorf Hall houses several large lecture halls as well as other centrally scheduled classrooms. Now that Mathematics has moved to its own building on the North Campus, part of Diefendorf has been renovated to house the Center for Children and Families. (Read more at the UB Archives.)
Namesake
A distinguished banker and a prime mover in civic, philanthropic and cultural affairs in Buffalo, Charles Haas Diefendorf (1891-1975) was a member of the University Council and its general administration committee. He was awarded the Chancellor's Medal in 1961.
