Clark Hall

Originally constructed in 1937, as the Irwin B. Clark Memorial Gymnasium, Clark Hall has a long history of serving South Campus's athletics and recreation needs. Frequently the scene of heated intramural contests, Clark Hall has all of the essential facilities for your game, match, or workout: gymnasiums, handball courts, a swimming pool, a weight room, and men's and women's locker rooms. Namesake

Completed in 1938, the Irwin B. Clark Memorial Gymnasium was built in memory of Mrs. Evelyn Clark's late husband, Irwin Brayton Clark (1861-1924), a well-known Buffalo seed merchant. A bequest of $300,000 from Mrs. Clark made possible the gymnasium construction.
