Project will encourage students, families to discuss feelings about transplantation "Talk it Up," a project aimed at educating middle- and high-school students and their families about the importance of organ and tissue donation, will begin this spring, funded by a three-year, $534,000 grant to UB and Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS) from the federal Department of Health and Human Services.
With the goal of improving living conditions in Southeast Asia, Nila T. Gnamm, retired civil servant, University at Buffalo alumna and world traveler, has pledged $250,000 to the College of Arts and Sciences to support research initiatives of UB’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Study Center.
