  • Text to give to Relay for Life

In conjunction with UB’s Relay for Life fundraiser tomorrow, the campus community is invited to participate in the American Cancer Society’s new mobile “Text-to-Give” program to help the UB team reach its goal of raising $100,000 for the fight against cancer.

Those interested can text RELAY UBUFF to 41518 on their mobile phones to donate $5. Respond “yes” when prompted to confirm your $5 donation; this prevents fraud and erroneous transactions.

A $5 charge—clearly identified as a donation to the American Cancer Society via the Mobile Giving Foundation—will be added to your mobile phone bill or deducted from the prepaid balance.

All of your donation will go directly to the American Cancer Society; your mobile provider does not keep any portion and your donation is completely tax-deductible. You will not incur any additional charges, other than the standard text message fees associated with your mobile plan.

You can donate up to five times a month for a total of $25.

The Relay For Life will take place at 6 p.m. April 20 in Alumni Arena, North Campus. For more information, visit the Relay for Life website.
