  • Donate school supplies for needy kids

Faculty and staff are invited to donate school supplies in a university-wide drive to benefit pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students at several Buffalo schools.

Donated items, including paper, pencils, pens, rulers, planners, markers and folders, will be distributed to the Futures Academy, Aloma D. Johnson Fruit Belt School, Martin Luther King Multicultural Institute, Highgate Heights Elementary and Westminster Community Charter School.

Items may be dropped off at various donation sites on the North, South and Downtown campuses. Click here for a list of donation sites and suggested donation items.

The deadline for donations is Sept. 2.

“This is another great example of the university giving back to the community. This university-wide drive will hopefully provide the youth at our neighboring elementary schools the tools they need to have a successful school year,” says Michael J. Pietkiewicz, assistant vice president for government and community relations.
