  • Computer recycling day set

    Members of the UB community can dispose of their old computers and other electronics at a free computer and electronics recycling event April 26 and 27 on the North Campus.

    Material will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 26 and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27 in the Center for Tomorrow parking lot.

    Accepted materials include computer devices, monitors, televisions, networking devices, printers, audio/video equipment, communication devices, lab/test and measurement devices, power supplies, microwaves, wire/cabling, computer hardware, computer batteries and telecommunication devices.

    Materials that will not be accepted for recycling include home appliances, light bulbs and lamps, gas-powered and lawn equipment, household hazardous waste and batteries.

  • Volunteers needed for Senior Brunch

    The offices of Student Life and Alumni Relations are seeking faculty and staff members to volunteer their time at the annual Senior Brunch, UB's longstanding tradition of saluting its graduating seniors.

    Volunteers are needed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on April 26 to set up, greet students, serve food and clean up for the brunch, which will be held in the Center for the Arts atrium, North Campus.

  • Bring kids to work on April 28

    UB will celebrate “Bring your Kids to Work Day” on April 28 with a morning of special activities in Alumni Arena, North Campus.

    The event will include a basketball shoot around, face painting and tours of the Center for the Arts.

    University Police also will assist parents in completing a child ID kit includes a photograph and fingerprints.

    Parents also will be able to purchase discounted tickets to see Anne of Green Gables from 10:30 am - 11:30 am

    Campus Dining and Shops will offer specially priced kids’ meals at many of its campus locations.

    After lunch, participants are urged to continue the day in the parent’s office.

    Bring Your Kid to Work Day is designed for children ages 8 through 14.
