  • A ‘new face’ for campus catering

Campus Dining & Shops has revamped its catering operation, giving it a new name, bringing in a new chef and general manager, and launching a new Web site that features online ordering.

Three Pillars Catering “will add a brand new dimension to events here at UB,” says Jeff Brady, executive director of Campus Dining & Shops. “The new name…is our foundation of providing exceptional customer service, exquisite culinary creations and complete execution. The new name and logo are also iconic with the university and symbolic of the three campuses our catering department services—North, South and Downtown,” he adds.

The catering operation serves three types of events: Express Delivery, for small business, departmental or club meetings; Everyday Events, for small parties, open houses and events where professional set-up or servers are needed; and Premier Events, for large events, like banquets or weddings.

General Manager Cassie Costanzo holds a master’s degree in hospitality management and has more than 12 years experience in special events management; Chef Nicholas Cee was trained at the Culinary Institute of America and has worked as executive chef in several Western New York restaurants, among them Le Metro, Solé and Muse in the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.

Costanzo says the new Web site, which will be live as of March 22, is user-friendly and convenient, and will allow clients to book catering for Express Delivery and Everyday Events from their desktop or laptop computers.
