Survey rating UB dining

Members of the campus community have an opportunity to help improve UB dining facilities, services and menu choices by filling out a survey being conducted by Campus Dining and Shops.

“We greatly value customer feedback and we have made numerous changes in our dining centers, restaurants and campus shops based on survey responses from last year,” says Jeff Brady, executive director of Campus Dining and Shops.

The online survey, which began on Monday and runs through Nov. 25, allows participants to rate as many Campus Dining and Shops locations as they wish. All completed surveys will be entered into a drawing, in which 20 prizes will be given away, including a 22” LCD HD TV, a Garmin GPS system and a Creative 2gb ZEN. The more surveys individuals complete, the more entries they will have in the drawing. Prize winners will be notified by email in early December.

Instructions for completing the survey, a link to the survey and a unique identifier login code were sent to all faculty, staff and students in an email sent to their UBIT account on Tuesday day. All responses are confidential. To access the survey directly, click here.

The UB survey is part of a larger survey conducted annually by the National Association of College & University Food Services.

Event to offer preview of Bulls’ basketball

UB women’s basketball coach Linda Hill-MacDonald and men’s coach Reggie Witherspoon will preview the Bulls’ upcoming seasons at a special UB Basketball Tip-off Event, to be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Nov. 12 in Dave & Buster’s Grand Sports Café in the Eastern Hills Mall, Williamsville.

The event will feature Victor E. Bull and the UB cheerleaders; raffles of UB gear, tickets and autographed basketballs; and free light snacks. Dave and Busters full menu will be available for purchase.

Paychecks available on Tuesday

Next week’s payday (Nov. 11) falls on Veteran’s Day—a day that most financial institutions will be closed. So UB faculty and staff who are scheduled to be paid on Wednesday will receive their checks/advices on Tuesday, Nov. 10, during the normal time of distribution.

Checks will be dated Nov. 10, so they can be cashed on Tuesday; those who have direct deposit will see their money in their accounts on Tuesday as well.
