Kenneth H. Conklin

Kenneth H. Conklin, retired manager of employee relations, died Aug. 1. He was 86.

A native of Rochester and polio survivor, Conklin graduated from Syracuse University in 1954 and began his career as personnel director at Moog. While working at Moog, he earned an MBA from UB in 1961 and joined the university as manager of employee relations in 1974. He retired from UB in 1993, but continued to work part-time as an adjunct instructor at the university until 2003.

Conklin served for more than 35 years as a volunteer member of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Western New York, which became Aspire of Western New York in 2002.

He donated his body to UB’s Anatomical Gift Program.
