“Survey Development for Community-Based Research” is the topic of a workshop on June 4 sponsored by UB’s Civic Engagement Public Policy research initiative.

Registration is now open through June 1 for the first UBThisSummer Golf Open, a four-person scramble-format tournament for UB employees to take place Aug. 10 at Glen Oak Golf Course, 711 Smith Road, East Amherst .

There’s no need to go off campus this summer for a nice, sit-down lunch. The Tiffin Room is open, serving from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

A facilitated discussion on “Valuing Equity, Diversity and Differences at UB” will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. May 19 in 100 Allen Hall, South Campus.

The Dependent Care Advantage Account, a New York State Flex Spending Account that allows workers to set aside up to $5,000 in pre-tax salary for eligible child care, elder care or disabled dependent care expenses that are necessary for the employee and his or her spouse to work, also is available to help employees pay for summer day camp expenses for children under the age of 13.

National Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 15, and UB Parking and Transportation Services is inviting members of the UB community to take part in the event.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the UB Violence Prevention Team is holding in-service training designed to raise awareness about sexual violence, educate members of the UB community on how to prevent it and provide support for those who have experienced it.

UB faculty, staff and students on the South Campus who need to obtain or renew a passport for travel this summer may do so on April 22 at Passport Day on the South Campus.
