    The Employee Assistance Program is offering training sessions in the fundamentals of Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique (IAMT), a relaxation technique consisting of simple yoga postures, breathing, visualization and sound.

    “Caring for Children,” a free, lunchtime series of talks for UB employees, retirees and their families, will open on Sept. 15 with a session on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
  • Walking program starts Sept. 15

    The lunchtime campus walking program will resume next week for the fall semester on both the North and South campuses.
  • PSS to hold tailgater

    The Professional Staff Senate will host a Tailgate BBQ before the Bulls’ season opener on Sept. 5 in UB Stadium.

    The Buffalo Center Chapter of United University Professions, the union representing UB faculty and professional staff, will hold its 2015 membership dinner and boat cruise Sept. 24 aboard the Miss Buffalo.
  • Humanities Institute to hold grant-writing workshop

    An external grant-writing workshop for faculty members in the humanities will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 11 in 280 Park Hall, North Campus.
  • Panel to address issue of campus sexual assault

    A Title IX panel discussion on campus sexual assault prevention, reporting and response will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 9 in 330 Student Union, North Campus.
  • UBCCC announces two programs

    The UB Child Care Center will again be offering its after school and vacation club programs this academic year. The programs are available for members of the UB community who have children between the ages of 5 and 12.
  • PSS potluck BBQ is Aug. 24

    The Professional Staff Senate Social Committee is presenting its sixth annual potluck barbecue luncheon on Aug. 24. The event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the picnic area next to the pond behind Greiner Hall on UB's North Campus (rain location: 101 Baldy Hall). Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. Attendees should RSVP by Aug. 21.
