  • UB moves up five spots in sustainability ranking

    UB moved up five spots on Sierra Club magazine’s “Cool Schools” ranking for 2017. The university landed at No. 52, up from 57 last fall, on the environmental group’s annual list of schools that are ahead of the curve when it comes to sustainability.
  • Liturgy of the Holy Spirit set for Sept. 24

    UB’s Catholic Campus Ministry will celebrate the opening of the 2017-18 academic year with the 41st annual Convocation and Liturgy of the Holy Spirit, to be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 24 in the UB Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Road across from the Creekside Village apartments on the North Campus.
  • Discussions focus on Malala’s book

    In conjunction with Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai’s Sept. 19 Distinguished Speakers Series lecture, the Gender Institute is co-sponsoring a series of informal “book chats” featuring Malala’s 2013 autobiography, “I am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban.”

  • Register for Linda Yalem Safety Run

    More than 800 runners and walkers — and hundreds of volunteers — are expected to take part in the 28th annual Linda Yalem Safety Run, a 5K run held on the North Campus to promote personal safety and remember UB student Linda Yalem.
